New media upload process

The way that media files are uploaded into projects has been improved. In particular : It is now possible to upload many files at once - just select the files you want to upload and they will appear in the queue and will be uploaded when you press the 'Upload' button The type(s) of file that can be selected for upload into a project are set by the project type (eg; TV, Radio) so you don't waste time uploading a file that is then rejected by the server Clear error messages now appear to explain [more..]

Further new features have been added to the site: New word processor / text editor Spellchecker - click the "ABC" button to spell-check your work before you post it WordTM paste function - when pasting text from Microsoft Word, use the "Paste from Word" button to strip out the extraneous HTML code that Word usually attaches which can cause major formatting problems if left in place. The Public Channel

The  Public Channel is now live allowing anyone to see the full list of programmes published by schools. Public visitors can see programmes that have been published to the public, logged-in users can see those programmes and others that they are entitled to see - eg; programmes published to the school community within the edusphere alone. New features have been added to the site. These include: a news service - every school / class / person now has a newspaper that displays their lates news on the home page - news stories can be added manually (just click the link) and are added automatically, for example when a programme is published or a blog entry made it is now possible to upload Flash movies directly into TV programme projects - see this FAQ article for more information support and ot [more..]
